I Wish My Dreams Made More Narrative Sense

I dream that my brother and I are staying at my sister’s for a few days. She lives in the same building I rented my apartment in during uni. Is midnight and she came back home already, we’re waiting for dad to come pick us up, but now my brother is sick and I have to drive home alone in our old blue car. I’m almost home when I remember I can’t drive. I’m on a motorbike now, I don’t even know how to go faster, but I figure out you have to squeeze the handle. I get home and mom is in the kitchen, she says happy birthday. It’s not my birthday I say, but I check the calendar and indeed it is.

Sushi Lovers I’m Sorry

I dream that it’s Christmas, and I’m having dinner with Laura Bailey and Travis Willingham. Laura gets a box of sushi, asks if that’s okay. I’m not particularly fond of sushi but I say, sure. I open the box and there’s only shrimp in it.

It’s Kitten Season After All

I dream that my sister and I find a wicker basket on the sidewalk, inside there are a mama cat with three kittens, one ginger, one tabby and one black; they are really small, no older than a few days, but their eyes are open. Each of the kittens is stuffed inside a doll pillow case with some plushies, as if a little girl has left them there.

I suggest we take them to the nearest vet, my sister decides we should take them home with us instead. She grabs Mama and one of the kittens, I grab the other two. The ginger one slips and falls from my hand, my sister steps on it. The kitten flattens on the pavement like a sole fish, but it’s incredibly unharmed. Our nosy neighbor asks what we are carrying, my sister tells her to “mind her own damn business”.

We get home and my parents are utterly unhappy.

Feeling Trapped And Unable To Travel I Guess

I dream about a strange place where everybody is trapped inside a white underground world, also everyone has a clone. I think these people might be very sophisticated androids, as there’s s guy from the outside controlling them all. One android who looks like Gina Rodriguez feels the calling from the green windy hills outside, she wants to escape and the others are ordered to kill her. They accidentally kill her clone instead, and she’s free.

Then I dream I’m staying at my Gran’s and pretending I have a stomachache so I don’t have to eat her food. We go on vacation together, I park my car on the outskirts of town before joining her. Its s beautiful beach town, it looks European but the ocean is tropical; I take a lot of pictures. When it’s time to go I walk back to my car, a boxy little thing, white with blue accents. As I drive back to Gran I remember I don’t have a license, what will I do if a cop stops me?

Longing For The Red Planet

I have a nested dream, I wake up and jump out of bed to go hiking, sometimes I only make it out of the room, sometimes I make it as far as far as the mountains, but I always, inevitably find myself back in bed.

Then I dream that two old schoolmates are colonizing Mars. They don’t even need space suits, they can easily use virtual reality and project a 3D image of themselves on the planet, from the safety of their ship. They stroll around in the red dust wearing their black emo clothes, eventually they find a tree. It’s a dead tree, but still, what a discovery! They both take selfies with it and text them to me.

He Kills his Own Butler!

I dream about a 17th century man. He’s a rich estate owner, he has a daughter and a butler. A sailor visits him at his big estate, he says “my buddies and I just survived a ship wreck, can you help us?” The rich man refuses to help and sends him away. The sailor and his friends plot to kill the rich man, the butler has discovered everything and warns his master, who is so irritated he kills him. Then everything is resolved with a soccer match.
