She Was Using The Balloon Like A Pastry Bag

I dream that my old schoolmate L. and her little brother are looking for an apartment to rent. I say there’s one available in my building, next door to mine. The boy asks what’s the building like, I say it’s wonderful, and complicated like a maze, and it has bars and stores, and a woman baking cakes and decorating them with a pink balloon.

The building is like a giant hotel on top of a mountain. We step on the mat at the base of the mountain and are teleported into the main hall. It takes me a while to find my bearings and the right staircase to the third floor. Unfortunately the apartment is already occupied and there’s a warming party underway. My own apartment also seem to be missing, I’m confused for a while before remembering we were moved to an apartment that looks exactly the same in our twin building (it def. happened in a previous dream) while the main one was flew on top of a mountain by a squad of helicopters and turned into a hotel/casino.

I Have Very Little Money In My Wallet But I’m Really Fond Of It

I dream that I’m at the park playing foosball with friends. Someone comes to tell me that my wallet was found, why did I leave my bag unattended on a bench? I look inside and I’m missing 110 bucks, I’m very upset and ask around for information, nobody has seen anything. The park owner, who looks like an actual mobster, is making fun of me.

Flash forward to the court case: I’m accusing park owner of theft and apparently I have very compelling evidence. My aunt M. is my lawyer, instead of a black court gown she’s wearing a sparkly white dress, she looks like Elsa. I’m really looking forward to hear this hard evidence, but I wake up.

Enough

I dream that it’s the last week of school and I’m skipping it, again. ( I’m so fed up with this. Nothing like this ever happened, why do I keep dreaming about it??)

My dad drives me to school, parks in front of the building. I don’t want to go, I say, what’s the point? I don’t care about my grades. When he leaves, I go for a walk instead. It’s sunny, for a change.

Job Please?

I dream that I’m in a house that has two floors and a garden in the middle. I want to kick everyone out of the second floor and go to sleep, even though it’s the middle of the day. There is a group of people sitting at a table studying. I grab two pencil cases from the table and toss them out the window, nobody seems to notice. One of the women at the table has a wooden hand, another has knife scars all over her face.

Resigned about the fact I won’t be sleeping, I start explaining web marketing to them. A man and a woman in business clothes are listening intently and asking questions. “Good,” says the woman, “You’re hired.” I’m very happy and ask where the job is gonna be. In California, she replies. I’m so mad I knock the table over.

A Returning Classic

I dream that it’s the last day of school, as usual it’s a Saturday and, as usual, I’m planning to quit before graduation. But why not hang out in the classroom for one more day?

Dear old philosophy teacher hands out exam sheets. Everybody is panicking except me, I haven’t studied but who cares? My friend M., worried about me, shows me her sheet, I copy it lazily making sure to add some mistakes.

The exam is divided in two parts, “boy” and “girl”. The teacher takes away the “boy” sheet as soon as it’s finished, to grade it. I tackle the “girl” sheet and I’m amazed to realize the questions are about web design and so I can answer most of them. The teacher brings back the first sheet, graded 80/100. He compliments me.

I’m a bit proud of myself now, I really want to finish the second sheet, but my alarm rings.

Will How Could You

I dream that my mother and I are watching Will Smith presenting a show. He’s brought along three children (his own?), the two younger girls, one barely more than a toddler, are very camera ready and I recognize them as famous voice actors. My mom is upset and mumbling about child labor.

Nice And Fantasy, Suddenly Star Wars

I dream about three children, prisoners in a secret facility. Adults keep asking them about a code, but the kids don’t know of any code. Eventually a woman (heavy make up, harsh looking) take them to a dungeon where they are told they have to collect glowing seeds throughout several levels; they only have fifteen minutes to do so and unfortunately the dungeon is inhabited by an evil shape-shifting monster.

The first level is a set of towering staircases, the children climb them out of their breath, looking behind their back for the monster. They get the seeds at the top of the highest staircase, they are rushing back when an old scientist, head of the project, walks towards them with a smile, asking for the seeds. They know it’s the monster and decapitate it with a silver sword. They are acutely aware of all the time they have wasted.

The second level is a Star Wars podrace. The kids have to score first, second and third place to win the glowing seeds, but Sebulba comes in third instead, they have to kill him too. The monster has now shape shifted into Anakin Skywalker. One of the children is the son of Anakin and Yoda, he’s very scared of his evil father. At this point they all look like cartoon characters from Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

The children realize they’ve wasted too much time and the fifteen minutes are almost over. They decide to reset the timeline and start over, they find themselves being brought into the dungeon again. They rush to the first level without listening to the head scientist’ explanation: they’ve heard it before.

The level is now a wall full of empty shapes. There are many people in the room, the children must ask each of them to give up a beloved object: it will magically turn into a shape that fit in the wall. The task is almost completed when I wake up, a bit disappointed because I wanted to see the dungeon finally cleared.
