Basic Facts About The Moon

I dream that I’m explaining to my brother how the moon was green and inhabited centuries ago, even as late as the 1300s. After all, the moon is just a big chunk that broke away from Earth, everybody knows that. What were the trees and animals like, he asks; it was a very unique ecosystem, I explain, because it evolved on its own for millenniums. Why is the moon so empty now, he asks; because everything died out, I say, but I’m sure if the astronauts would only dig a little they’d find plenty of skeletons.
