It’s All Blurry And Confused This Morning

I dream that I’m watching a Dark episode, but also living it, jumping up and down the timeline. I go back home and study the mailboxes and the gate to figure out what year is this.

I’m really hungry when I get home, I want to eat breakfast. My mother says to go to the apartment upstairs, where my brother, who’s also Magnus from Dark, is hoarding and selling cereal and other breakfast items. My father comes along and tries to sneak out a bag of chocolate cookies.

This Is A Long One Folks

I dream that a tiger cub wanders into my living room. It’s night and I’m the only one still up. He’s afraid at first, but soon he’s in my lap purring. He’s even getting along with my cat.

The next day we try to find out where the cub came from. We call the vet clinic and they say he ran away after one of the doctors, a guy named Maycon, committed suicide. Incredibly, we are allowed to keep the cub until they find a proper home for him.

We bring both pets, cat and tiger, on a trip with us. We visit a futuristic facility where they are creating VR videogames.

I’m told to sit at a machine in the middle of a giant room, there’s a gaming chair elevated from the ground and surrounded by screens. Below there’s a desk with multiple computers, the woman sitting behind the desk is the director of the project. My family is looking up with interest. The tiger cub and my cat are wandering around the room.

My body is scanned so my avatar will look realistic. I find myself sitting inside a futuristic car, a race is about to start but I can’t drive! “What do I do?” I yell, panicking. “Floor the pedal!” I hear my dad yelling back. The program changes to a horse race and I don’t fare any better.

The director is disgusted at my incompetence. When it’s my brother’s turn she asks him what kind of games he likes. I wish she had asked me as well. As my brother plays (as Ranma  ½ , and dismayed about turning into a girl) the director looks me over and says, “some people just lack intelligence”.

I grab her by the lab coat and hiss,

Not everyone is the same. I may not be good at videogames, but I have emotional intelligence.

When it’s time to go home we board a super fast train, it’s bright red and looks so modern. Again, my cat and the tiger cub are wandering up and down the train corridors.

We don’t have tickets, the other passengers are carrying their tickets on their wrists, like some sort of smart watch. The conductor comes over to scan the watches, my dad tells her we need to buy ours. She says, you can do that, or you can try your luck at our slot machine.

All the passengers without a ticket get in line, one by one they pull the lever of the slot machine, but nobody wins. When it’s my turn I pull the lever and the machine blinks and whistles! I’m excited for a moment thinking I won a ticket. The conductor is impressed too, because apparently nobody had won anything in years.

The machine spits out a receipt. I read it, it’s a coupon for a pizza place from the town we’ve just left. It says I’ve won a lemongrass pizza. I don’t even know what that is, I’ll just have to give the coupon to someone else because it’s useless to me.

My Uncle Lives There It’s Okay

I dream that my father wants to sell our mountain house, I’m so devastated I want to sabotage the whole operation. Four potential buyers arrive, dad gives them a fresh watermelon from our garden. “It’s not the best, but it’s homegrown,” he says.

One of the buyer is a beautiful old lady with long white hair. She comes over to say hi, she apparently follows my Instagram. I wonder if I can make her pity me enough she’d let me come back from time to time. She says she understands why I’m sad, I say, “How can you?! I was born and raised here!”

At the end the four visitors decide to buy the house together. They pay 200 bucks each.

I Love It When I can Remember So Many Details

I dream that I’m watching the new season of The Crown. The episode starts with the Queen visiting her son Andrew, he lives in a dark, dirty castle with his two little girls and wife. For some reason the actress who plays Fergie has giant fake lips.

We cut to Prince Edward, who is a young professor, hot but in a reassuring, glasses and sweaters kind of way. He meets his future wife and I find myself thinking it’s all very Notting Hill. A group of disabled students go to see him complaining that they aren’t allowed to take part in the school recital. Edward makes a phone call and the Queen and Margaret appear, this time as played by Claire Foy and Vanessa Kirby. The Queen winks at the students.

Next we see them all doing aerobics on a stage, wearing black leotards and leg warmers. Claire and Vanessa are really good dancers. Also Benedict Cumberbatch is on stage, it’s a fun scene but I’m wondering, it’s the 80s, what’s he got to do with anything? Shouldn’t it be Michael Jackson instead?

A new episode starts and the Queen, now played by Olivia Colman, comes along with me and my classroom on a school trip. We go up to the mountains, it’s winter and the scenery is a bit dreary. We come across a pretty lake, I want to take pictures but I have to run away when a wild goose starts chasing me.

We stop in a little village, our hotel has a 1 star out of 5 review but the Queen seems perfectly happy in her bedroom. I have some noodle soup and the next morning go back home. At the train station I realize some guys are following me. I hide in a church and text my dad for help. He replies that he’s not gonna get up from the couch and I’ll have to deal with it on my own. I text back,

If they rob and rape me it’s gonna be all your fault!

Unexpected Jobs, MILFs and Metamorphoses.

I dream about going to see a doctor. I go inside his office and there before me, wearing a white coat, is my coworker, S. I’m really surprised, how can he possibly have time to practice? He’s at the store every day! Says he,

I use my lunch break.

He’s somewhat dismissive of my symptoms and it gets me somewhat mad.

I go home and find out a neighbor wants to sue my family for very petty reasons. I invite her over so she can see we’re not so bad after all. She’s in her forties and too uptight to be beautiful, but I still think she’s hot.

The next morning I need to get to school and I’m late, but I’m also suspecting I’m dreaming, that must mean I’m actually early, right? I walk in town with no rush and I waste some time riding a roller coaster at a local festival. Yes, it must be a dream because I’m not even scared.

I walk for a bit in the snow, and it’s really time to wake up and go to school for real, I think. I slap my face, hoping it will do the trick. Then I throw myself down a cliff. Nothing. I yell for my dad, hoping he can help me. I hear a loud whistle in the gray, snowy sky. That sounds more real than the rest of my current reality, so I follow it.

I wake up as a little white and brown dog. I go explore the city again.

I Don’t Really Have Time To Go Anywhere

I dream that it’s Sunday and I desperately want to go out sightseeing and taking pictures. I don’t have anyone to go with though. I ask my dad to take me to the mountains, but he’s got his backpack ready and he’s going with his friends instead. I ask my sister to go to the beach, she says no as well. I feel lonely and angry.

My Subconscious Really Wants Me To Get That Doll

I dream that it’s Christmas and I want to buy myself a Barbie. I go to the supermarket where a salesgirl tries to convince me to buy a printer instead. She says,

In these uncertain times we need more words!

I think I can write I better catchphrase than that.

Then I dream that my dad is watching a horror movie, the killer’s victims are turned into squirrels and pigs. I go to bed and the next morning he’s still there, watching. He looks terrified.

I’m Sure There’s A Name For This Phenomena

I dream that I’m trying to wake up, I want so badly to wake up but whenever I think I’ve done, it I open my eyes and I know the world I’m in isn’t real.

There’s my sister watching DC cartoons in my room (how dares she?) then I wake up again and I can hear her watching in the living room instead. I drag myself out of bed, find my dad, grab him by the jacket, beg him to wake me up.

I’m still asleep! I tell him frantically. This isn’t real! You have to come to my room and shove me out of bed, it’s the only way!

It doesn’t work. I wake up again and since nothing is real I decide to fly out of the window. I fly over a blue, shiny ocean, I get to watch seagulls up close.

I come across a flying carrier transporting giant containers. I know this is the villains, so I break inside a container using my super strength. I find thousands and thousands of my old books and drawings. I walk around the plane and make people have sex with each other, so I can watch.

A Little Morbid

I dream that I keep being late for school, I’m late in the morning, I’m late in the afternoon. I even waste time cleaning the mailbox outside my house, it’s raining so it really doesn’t make any sense.

Then I dream that I’m hiding a kitten and a little girl in my room. The child is about six or seven. I tell her to not make a sound because there’s a monster in the hallway.

The monster is my father. He finds the kitten and throws it against a wall during one of his tantrums. I eventually have to tell him about the girl too, and to my great surprise he doesn’t get angry. We end up fostering dozens of children to reap the government’s benefits.

We go check the spare apartment where we are storing the children. They all turned into stickers, and a few suffocated inside their plastic wraps. I wonder if it’s morally wrong to still use the stickers, they look real pretty even though they are dead.
