Two?!

(This one’s from yesterday.) I dream that I’m reading a strangely handwritten book about a group of paranormal investigators in their forties. There are two bisexual women and two men with long hair and big mustaches, one blond and one black haired, they’re in a loving relationship with each other. The fifth member of the group is Prince Charles.

Then I dream that I’m at the mountain house with my whole family. We decide to walk to the village but I forgot my camera and need to run back. I find a homeless man in front of the door, he is using a coin to trick our fingerprint lock. He’s very surprised to realize there are people in the house today, he begs me to let him stay the night. I call out loud for my dad who promptly kicks the man out. I feel slightly guilty.

Meeting People

I dream that my sister came back home and we fight fight fight. I’m in town sitting on a bench, talking about it with my dad, when the Queen of England sits on my other sides. She thanks me for helping her the last time, and I absolutely don’t remember ever meeting her before. She needs my help now because she wants to show Hercules, the Disney cartoon, to Prince Louis and doesn’t know if it’s appropriate for his age. I assure her I used to love Hercules as a child. We speak in different languages and she compliments me on my pronunciation. She notices I’m looking dejected, she learns about my sister and nods gravely. Okay, she says, early tomorrow morning we leave from Bangkok and you’re coming with us. I say no, absolutely no, I can’t travel, I don’t even have a swimsuit. It’s out of the question. The next morning I’m on a Thai beach.

Then I dream that I’m Lady Gaga trying to infiltrate a Nazi stronghold. Hitler himself is there and he’s looking for me, but thankfully with a surgical mask on my face, no eye makeup and a fake accent he doesn’t recognize me.

She’s Not Amused! …too trite?

I dream that I’ve found an online AI that can generate accurate illustrations and videos, all you have to do to type a simple descriptions. Excited, I show it to my sister, who’s not impressed. She starts writing more and more elaborate and ridiculous descriptions, just to prove it doesn’t work.

Then I dream that I find two short stories written by my brother and I steal them for my Instagram. They are a crossover between ATLA and the British royal family, one is about Aang writing a disappointed letter to his grandson, Prince Charles. The other is about Queen Victoria taking a stroll in the snow with her whole entourage; they meet a group of rogue airbenders that lift them from the ground. The queen is so scared she orders a church service to exorcise these demons.

I Love It When I can Remember So Many Details

I dream that I’m watching the new season of The Crown. The episode starts with the Queen visiting her son Andrew, he lives in a dark, dirty castle with his two little girls and wife. For some reason the actress who plays Fergie has giant fake lips.

We cut to Prince Edward, who is a young professor, hot but in a reassuring, glasses and sweaters kind of way. He meets his future wife and I find myself thinking it’s all very Notting Hill. A group of disabled students go to see him complaining that they aren’t allowed to take part in the school recital. Edward makes a phone call and the Queen and Margaret appear, this time as played by Claire Foy and Vanessa Kirby. The Queen winks at the students.

Next we see them all doing aerobics on a stage, wearing black leotards and leg warmers. Claire and Vanessa are really good dancers. Also Benedict Cumberbatch is on stage, it’s a fun scene but I’m wondering, it’s the 80s, what’s he got to do with anything? Shouldn’t it be Michael Jackson instead?

A new episode starts and the Queen, now played by Olivia Colman, comes along with me and my classroom on a school trip. We go up to the mountains, it’s winter and the scenery is a bit dreary. We come across a pretty lake, I want to take pictures but I have to run away when a wild goose starts chasing me.

We stop in a little village, our hotel has a 1 star out of 5 review but the Queen seems perfectly happy in her bedroom. I have some noodle soup and the next morning go back home. At the train station I realize some guys are following me. I hide in a church and text my dad for help. He replies that he’s not gonna get up from the couch and I’ll have to deal with it on my own. I text back,

If they rob and rape me it’s gonna be all your fault!

How Dare I?!

I dream that I’m watching a silly romantic movie about a fictional royal family. I order the poster for the movie on Amazon, shortly after I receive an email from an old, posh lady who represents the actual British Royal Family. She is very indignant, she writes I can’t possibly get a poster when all my friends are being rude to the poor royals! She sends me social media links as proof. I find the whole thing utterly hilarious.

In Which I Have Pandemia Anxiety and I’m Especially Worried About My Grandmother

Gran is in town, despite the quarantine, despite all. I’m following her, trying to make her see reason. My store is closed, but she finds a loose panel in the front window and sneaks in, while I beg her to come back. She says it’s alright, nobody is in here anyway. I see my boss’ coat on a chair and light coming from under her office’s door, realize we’re about to be discovered and drag Gran away.

Next she wants to go to the bank to get all her money back. She walks on the cold stone floor and sits on a bench, and I order her to at least put her mask on. She gets from her bag a diving mask that she patched up with some fabric, and I’m about to lose my mind with anger and worry.

I’m watching an old VHS tape, it’s a show that has Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and Japanese boyband Arashi in it. My family is annoyed, they say the show is boring, and since I know the Queen is about to get into some lesbian shenanigans I take the tape out of the player and say we should go grocery shopping instead. But it’s late and we’re quarantined and the supermarket is closed, everything is closed and we’re about to starve.
