Can’t remember much today. Something about travelling in space, and something about being cooked to death in an oven.

Basic Facts About The Moon
I dream that I’m explaining to my brother how the moon was green and inhabited centuries ago, even as late as the 1300s. After all, the moon is just a big chunk that broke away from Earth, everybody knows that. What were the trees and animals like, he asks; it was a very unique ecosystem, I explain, because it evolved on its own for millenniums. Why is the moon so empty now, he asks; because everything died out, I say, but I’m sure if the astronauts would only dig a little they’d find plenty of skeletons.

Christmas In August. Also, The Moon.
I dream that I’m a scientist at the end of a long, long stay on the moon. I didn’t have an easy relationship with my colleague, also a brilliant scientist. But now, at then end, we sit under a blanket together and cuddle, watching the black sky from a big window. She’s beautiful. Our orange cat is bouncing around the station wearing a little space suit.
Then I dream that I’m teaching how to read to a little Middle Eastern boy, descendant of knights and dragons. It’s Christmas day and I’m trying to keep my tears at bay because I know there won’t be any presents for me under the tree, my family will have forgotten as usual. They are all sitting around the dinner table, arguing about politics.
Deep Space Store
I dream that I’m repeating the last year of high school. Again. It takes me a while to remember I have a job now and my mornings are booked.
Then I dream that I arrive at space station and visit a big store there. I stumble over my feet and a little boy laughs at me. He’s with his dad. Later the boy has some difficulties with the escalators, I help him out because I’m so generous, the boy follows me around the store and his dad is very worried.
Space and Cooking
I’m traveling on a cruise spaceship. A woman asks me why I’m not wearing a jacket – I think she’s supposed to be my grandmother, but she isn’t really. I tell her I’m not cold. It’s really cold in the ship and I’m clearly lying.
We arrive to a planet, start orbiting around it. An alien robot knocks on our glass door: he looks like something out of Futurama, tall and metallic, with a goatee that make him look like the devil, and four arms. The first thing he does inside our spaceship is turning the AC off, because it’s so cold. He tells me he used to pretend to be human, but has learned to accept himself. Then he goes back home, sits at his pipe organ and plays an evil song, which I think sounds very familiar.
Steven Universe exits the spaceship, and now my sister and I are watching him on TV. The planet’s ground is reddish brown, and the sky is purple. He buries some seeds: we know they are supposed to show his true love. A ghost-like projection of Connie Maheswaran emerges from the ground, and the real Connie looks at it confused. Steven blushes and runs away.
My dad is driving me to school. From the car window I see three people walking near the local park, two old classmates, both short with glasses, followed by Nicole Maines. I tell dad Nicole is a new student at my school.
I need to pass an entrance exam to start the new year: it’s a cooking exam, the teachers/judges are two Asian women. One is very nice, the other is extremely mean and keeps telling us we’re gonna fail.
I prepare two sandwiches, I put eggs, salad, shrimp and tomatoes inside. I find a shrimp oil bottle; it tastes rather strong, but just a few drops should be enough to give my sandwiches the right kick. The mean teacher notices this and tells me I’ve made the wrong choice and already sealed my fate. The girl sitting next to me smiles sympathetically; she is steaming something in a pressure pot and looks very flushed.
I bring my sandwiches to the judges, making sure to put the best looking one on the mean lady’s side. She immediately swaps it and takes the ugly sandwich. As she eats it, I realize with horror I forgot to put eggs in it, and indeed she gleefully tells me how bad it tastes. At least the other teacher seems to really like hers.
Fantastical Mountains
I’m on a quest with a party of adventurers, we’re trekking the mountains of a fantasy land. I come across a samurai who challenges me to a duel; we can’t fight up here though, we need to go back home, somehow. Eventually I borrow a big, heavy falchion from a companion and transfer my consciousness inside a town robot, big and awkward and clunky like something out of Machinarium.
The city is cold, but I feel terribly hot because my body is still up on the mountains. A cop shows up and tries to arrest me, I fight him without talking because, even though I look like a robot, he’d still recognize my voice.
Back to the mission, one of our party’s secret agents, a woman in the body of a little girl in pigtails, sneaks inside a mountain house. Her plan is to hide for a few hours, but she’s discovered by the place’s owner, who happens to be Meryl Streep. Meryl sees the little girl wearing a floral pinafore, hiding under her bed, and assumes she’s an orphan escaping from the war. She decides to adopt her. News of her generosity spread and more and more children show up at her house.

Now our prospective zooms out, from the green peaks to the blue planet we’re on to the blackness of space to a second red planet orbiting around us. I’m sitting behind my computer screen and fixing sliders on my sim world, because I’ve been playing a game all along.
