Circus Cats and Violent Delegates

I dream that I’m looking into colleges for when I finish high school. At the same time I’m also my current adult self, so I end up choosing a psychology degree, because it’ll help with my retail job, somehow?? I guess customers do be crazy.

At the same time I’m looking into buying a car, I select an old gray Citroën, extremely boring but it somehow only costs 400 bucks. I can’t even drive but that’s not gonna stop me! I lie in the back seat and smile and smile.

I go home and I find a dozen cats, most of them black. My own cat is conspicuously missing. All the cats are wearing circus clothes. I go fill the bathtub (it’s plastic, transparent blue), they all follow me and jump in the water. I start brushing them with soap and they all look very satisfied, like they’ve been trained for this. There is a white cat with a bleeding injury on her shoulder, and a gray tabby with his legs missing. There also a talking toy astronaut.

Afterward I’m walking home from school and decide to visit the local catholic church. I haven’t been inside the building in years and I don’t like religious institutions on principle, but here I go, and the church is packed so I have to sit on the marble steps.

A bearded man stood up and is now giving a speech a few seats from me. Another guy (I recognize him, it’s a local politician) attacks him, a fist fight ensues. I’m enjoying this more than I can say, these religious types and their hypocrisy! The politician notices I’m chuckling ant attacks me too, scratches my face. I say I’m just an innocent schoolgirl! I’m not though, I’m in my 30s, there’s blood pouring down my face and I’m still laughing.

A Little Morbid

I dream that I keep being late for school, I’m late in the morning, I’m late in the afternoon. I even waste time cleaning the mailbox outside my house, it’s raining so it really doesn’t make any sense.

Then I dream that I’m hiding a kitten and a little girl in my room. The child is about six or seven. I tell her to not make a sound because there’s a monster in the hallway.

The monster is my father. He finds the kitten and throws it against a wall during one of his tantrums. I eventually have to tell him about the girl too, and to my great surprise he doesn’t get angry. We end up fostering dozens of children to reap the government’s benefits.

We go check the spare apartment where we are storing the children. They all turned into stickers, and a few suffocated inside their plastic wraps. I wonder if it’s morally wrong to still use the stickers, they look real pretty even though they are dead.

Two Quick Ones

That’s so strange how I’ve been dreaming about my old neighbor S., considering I haven’t seen the guy in years. This time he’s a teen and I steal his diary, write funny jokes on it. He’s so mad I run to the basement. I go down flights after flights of stairs, then crawl into a tunnel that gets smaller and smaller.

Another dream: I’m hearing a pitch about a new Star Wars movie, the main character is Palpatine. He towers menacingly over a young kid (Ben?) He kills and scalps a woman. He goes back home where his clone is sitting on the couch playing fantasy football. He kills the clone.

A Long One For A Change

I dream that there’s a phone game I’m really looking forward to play, it’s deceptively simple and cutesy but I’ve been told the plot has a rather dark turn.

Thing is, I can’t possibly concentrate on the game because my life seems to be going fast forward: I blink and a few hours have passed, try as I might I can’t remember what happened in those hours. These flash forward episodes keep happening as I try to go home, when I finally get there years have passed, my dad is old now and has long white hair.

And then time fixes itself, I guess, because next thing I know I’m on my bed playing the game.

The plot is about a young girl with pink hair travelling with her master, a medieval knight. The two are attacked in a village by the game’s bad guy (really well written, engaging backstory for him). I see that he has much more experience points than my characters and a sense of dread washes over me: I watch helpless as the master is brutally murdered and the little girl is dragged to prison.

It’s me languishing in that cell now, after years and years my old friend and neighbor S. rescues me and we go home together. There’s a long carnival parade outside my building, the music is deafening.

I’m once again in my room and my phone is ringing. It’s my cousin. “You can come back to the store for three hours tomorrow,” she says, “but then that’s it, you’re fired.”

“What?! Why?!” I ask, flabbergasted.

They are moving the store to London. And I can’t afford to go with them, I wouldn’t be able to pay rent. The next day I stand on the long bridge that crosses the Atlantic and cry as I look at my cousin, Boss Lady and my coworker S. walking past the gate that goes into London. I beg them not to leave me.

“Farewell, farewell,” says S.

Like Maybe It Was Those Cats

I dream that I’m going on a school trip to France, but I’m not really excited because I’m a witch, and I guess when one has magic at her fingertips silly bus trips are not that special.

I get lost in the Paris sewers, it’s dark and wet and there are stray cats and an abandoned gendarme uniform. As I’m climbing a ladder to get out I’m violently attacked and punched to the ground by the Ratatouille guy. He thinks I killed his rat.

So Much Symbolism In This Dream That I’m Trying To Figure Out

I dream that my sister has a baby, a little half black toddler, so fat and happy. I can’t help but fall in love.

Then I dream that I’m in a supermarket with my mother. We go down the escalator to a basement that is ridden with stinky ugly zombies. They crawl around biting men’s penises off (they even catch UK’s Prince Charles!). My mom and I escape.

We follow a long underground tunnel that ends up inside Hogwarts. There is an evil dictator in control of the castle, we join the resistance to fight her and I’m shot, repeatedly, in the thigh. My mom puts me on a boat and we sail away under a thunderstorm, looking for help.

I Keep Dreaming About Beating Up People For Some Reason

I’m once again back to school. I want to sit in the back of the classroom, next to the window, so I can doodle without the teacher noticing, but I end up sandwiched between two kids instead.

I find a yellow envelope on my desk, inside there’s a love letter from that boy I used to like. Everybody is laughing and teasing me, I pretend I don’t care about the letter and throw it out the window. Then, for good measure, beat up the kid who laughed the hardest.

The teacher walks in, notices the boy with the face all bruised and asks who did it. I raise my hand, ready to face my punishment, but all the other kids raise theirs too. We got each other’s back, they’re gonna protect me, I realize with a rush.

The teacher calls me to his desk, it’s an oral interrogation. As usual I didn’t study and didn’t even bring the textbook in my backpack, I look at him sarcastically and say,

What did you expect? Did you ever see me in this class before?

The teacher is mad now, he calls a man to drag me out of the room. It’s a shining gold man with winged feet, obviously a deity. He grabs me but I throw him to the floor like he weighs nothing. “Who are you?!” the teacher asks, incredulous.

I am the daughter of Zeus,

I say, and indeed now I look like a tall, beefy, blonde girl.

Bathroom Adventures

I dream that I badly need a shower but can never find the bathroom unoccupied, right now there’s Captain America sitting on the toilet. Not pooping, just sitting.

I finally find a giant bathroom with glass doors, after I go inside guards arrive to lock the doors with heavy chains. The bathroom starts slowing filling with water. I notice there are other people hiding inside, one of them is Keanu Reeves. As we are all about to drown I spot a small hole in the ceiling and swim through it, followed by the other prisoners.

Outside we are greeted by heavy armed guards. I grab a red car and wave it in the air (I suppose I’m really strong in this dream?). The guards laugh in my face but they haven’t noticed the angry bull behind them. Entranced by the red car, the bull launches on the bad guys and mauls them. On the side, Keanu Reeves has efficiently killed some guards on his own.

Blood And Dough

I’m in my parking lot, from the fence I can see the nearby public park. There is a baby fox half hidden in the grass, looking at me with big eyes. I stop to take a picture of it, and I see two teens threatening a child with a metal baseball bat. One of them sees the baby fox and tries to pick it up, the mother (that happens to be a full grown, angry tiger) jumps on them; I hear blood-chilling screams and I see limbs being teared off, I’m so terrified that I run home.

I make sure that my cat is safe, then I go see my neighbor. The little boy from the park is there, the back of his head is missing and my neighbor is carefully bandaging it. I ask if he’s gonna be okay, she says,

“No, he’s gonna die tomorrow, but at least he’s not gonna expect it.”

She then tells me to call the police and explain what happen, I take my phone but someone stops my hand: he’s one of the teens, he has a blond mullet and one arm is missing. He tells me he’s a time traveler on a mission, I need to trust him and not tell anyone about his secret.

I’m filming a reality show with my dad. Our team is behind, we need to complete a recipe before we can be moved to the next location, a beautiful European beach city. I’m supposed to make rice pancakes, but there is cat identical to mine chilling in my bowl! I shoo him off, then painstakingly clean all the cat hair from the white dough. I’m all alone because dad is off driving my aunt home, but finally I make my pancakes.

I’m took not to the beach, but to a gray winter city. I’m not wearing a mask and feeling guilty about it, the production team gives me a dark brown one made of fabric. I get lost and end up in a pharmacy, the girl at the counter is pretty and I start flirting. I say I need to make a deposit and get from my bag an envelope filled to the brim with money. The girl’s eyes get enormous.
